5Excellent value for first automatic watch  Mar 13, 2010
I chose the Invicta 8926 because after years of battery operated quartz watches I wanted to try an automatic movement and see how I liked it - at less than $70 and with mostly positive reviews, the 8926 seems like the best way to do that. I've used the watch for 6 months and I'm extremely happy with it - like most people, it seems I got one of the good ones.

The 8926 looks and feels beautiful, and after 6 months of daily wear there are still no scratches in the stainless steel or the face (but I'm not rough on my watches). The bracelet is heavy but very comfortable, and I easily adjusted it to fit my wrist with a pin remover (also purchased on Amazon).

Right out of the box, the watch gained 6 to 7 seconds a day - not great accuracy, but about what I was expecting and easily something I could live with. But after a few months it seemed to be keeping better time - and when I rechecked the accuracy, it's now consistently only losing 1 second a day. For a watch that looks this good, feels this comfortable and cost less than $70, that's outstanding value.

Only a few minor complaints - the second hand sweep is not as smooth as a Swiss movement, but that doesn't affect the function of the watch. The second hand doesn't stop when you adjust the time, so synching the time exactly to the second is not easy (not a big concern for me, I don't need to know the time to the nearest second). Also, as others have noted, the bezel does not turn very easily, but I just leave it in the 12 o'clock position anyway.

As I said, I purchased this Invicta as a way to try out an automatic watch - I am so satisfied with my 8926 that I expect it to be my everyday watch for quite a while.

4Solid Construction Nice Design, (Carefull with the Screw Down Crown)  Mar 11, 2010
Excellent watch.
Buyers Read the Manual. Specially first page!!
Mine started condensation after a month. NEVER LEFT THE CROWN OPEN.!!!
"After setting the watch the crown must be then pushed and screwed back in tightly".

5Invicta 8926a  Mar 08, 2010
Fantastic value for money would be the best way to describe this. Bang for your buck wise, it'd be hard pressed to be beaten

Very close in appearance to a Rolex Submariner, but unique enough to want to show it off

5 stars

2nice watch, questionable quality control  Feb 24, 2010
I received this watch and was pleased with its looks and performance for about eight days. It would not stay wound long enough to keep time after about the eighth day. I sent the watch in to be repaired and Invicta wanted $28.00 to have it repaired. I called the company and later learned that they had the purchase date for a older watch that I submitted for repair. I know they must have looked at the copy of the invoice I sent with the new watch because they knew I purchased it from Amazon.com. The billing department asked for another copy of the invoice and it was mailed the next day. I hope they will waive the charge as I think it unfair to have to pay more money for a watch that was obviously faulty to begin with. I will pay more attention to the conditions required for returns in the future.

1Total piece of C**P  Feb 21, 2010
I purchased this watch from Amazon in October 2006. I was really impressed at first with the look of the watch and impressive packaging! The watch looked great. Only problem was the watch was consistently slow by about 5 minutes. This required resetting the time every 3 weeks or so. A pin in the ban failed and I had to have it replaced in year 1. Then, after owning the watch for 2 years, it died on me. Dead. This ultimate fate of my Invicta was the garbage can in 2008. Maybe some archeologist 1000 years from now that finds it can get it to work.
